Proposition 24, the California Privacy Rights Act, strengthens privacy laws on personal data. It also prevents employers from encroaching on employee privacy rights, so they cannot retaliate against employees for exercising their rights. The proposition will triple fines on companies that collect and sell any data information from children.
Proposition 24 will:
- Protect personal information
- Safeguard children’s privacy
- Establishes enforcement authority to protect privacy rights
CPF recommends yes on 24 to protect the privacy of you and your children.
